help:not getting any TPS voltage
help:not getting any TPS voltage
as the title says I'm not getting any votage from my tps on my pfc commander. the 2 tps voltages are highlighted and at 0. My idle is perfect though and when i adjust the tps (even with out seeing the voltage difference) the idle DOES infact react to being adjusted. what could be the problem? And what if I were to drive with no tps voltage?
well I was having an idle problem (which ending up being something else causing it) but we tried to adjust the tps and we were getting voltage then all of a sudden nothing. if the TPS is bad will the idle still react just to the machanical motion of adjusting it?

I'd remove the TPS and re-install it. You might have to remove the UIM/TB as an assembly in order to get it at the TPS and really inspect it. Could be you cracked the connector or the TPS itself somehow---I've seen it happen.
I've taken it off twice now and it looks ok, im going to see if i can find another tps AND connector and hopefully that will be it. Thanks for your help.

I wouldnt recommend throwing new parts at the problem just yet, the TPS does not usually go bad.

When you say you've taken 'it' off, do you mean removing the TPS from the housing? If you reinstalled it improperly, you'll get a voltage reading of zero. The small prongs in the housing do *not* fit into the slots on the arms of the TPS---they rest up against the backside of the 'U' shaped slots, if that makes sense.
