Help needed... possible scam

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right area, so I'll apolgize for it now. Sorry... thanks!

My friend sent me a message today saying he was buying a 1993 RX-7 for $6,200... and yeah, you guessed, the car IS overseas. Supposedly this guy brought it with him on his military trip but told my friend that in Prague, you can only have an american car over there for 30 days because they arent street legal and the military will pay for it to be shipped to the states. My friend said that a lawyer here in the states that will handle the transaction and he's supposed to finish the paperwork for it today. I told him to hold off on it til I get some opinions from you guys and post pics of the car. I want to see if this belongs to a forum member bc usually these "buy my car for cheap, bc I had to move overseas due to my job" scam artists are using random 7 pics they found on the web. Anyway, as much help, thoughts, opinions is really appreciated!!!! Thanks! You can e-mail me at MissXSTurbo@aol or im me using that same screenname.

I would suggest contacting the closest Czech embassy about this matter first.

If it's too good to be true, it probably is. There's been TONS of overseas car selling scams lately. I would just pass on it - that's a lot of money to gamble with.

He just told me he wasn't going to pursue it anymore but I'll post so people can keep a look out for it.

I KNOW I've seen pics of a car with the Mazda emblem stuck to the airbag. There were comments about how the person doing that was a dumbass, as that becomes a missle if the airbag deploys!

Tell him you want a picture of something random (like a wheelwell) with a note also in the picture saying 'The RX-7 Club Knows about Me!'. That would be kinda hard to forge in a day.
