HELP, need to remove front harness the main one with the fuse boxes not engine harnes
well like the tlise says i want to remove this harnes cause the car is going to a full paint job and after i remove both fenders realize that the main front harness that goes from the pasenger side front of the car fuse boxes and goes to the driver side goes inside the cabin, i thought the the harness will have a plug before enters the cabin but the big pile of cables enter with a dust cover inside the cabin so i dont know if there is any conection inside the car that can be umpluged, any help will be apreciated i will post pics in a while.

This harness is commonly referred to as the "ring" harness. I've had them all out of my cars at one time or another. Really it's an easy task but takes some time to make sure you don't break any of the "loop clips" under the fenders, or the finger snaps that hold it in place around the front. Inside the driver side there is 6 or 7 connectors that need to be unclipped and pulled out thru the large grommet hole on that side. These clips come off of the main fuse box, dash harness, steering column, etc. Looks like a looming project, but it can be done. Much easier on the passenger side. a couple ECU connectors, and some dash harness connectors.
Out on the engine bay is the two fusue boxes, diagnosis, lights, fans, etc. When the harness is completely out of the car, lay it out and mak any insulation repairs with black electrical tape ( 3M ). Especially look for damage where it resides under the fenders.
