Help, Need lists for auto to manual, single turbo, and engine rebuild

Doing all at one time. I have been searching through old threads all day and there are all kinds of people that say you need different things. What I need is a complete list for each modification. I am swapping the auto to a 5 speed, getting a greddy T-78 Turbo Kit, and getting the engine rebuilt. What do I need for the swap and what modifications do I need to do for the single turbo? Also, what needs to be done in the rebuild to hold that kind of power? Another thing, how reliable is the T-78 and what kind of gas mileage can I expect?

That's going to cost an arm and a leg. First thing, don't expect good gas mileage around 10 mpg is normal. A good streetport for the big turbo is good. 5 speed swap. There are various threads here for the auto to 5 speed swap and it's a simple swap. The hardest part of it is finding the parts. Good luck.

There are many threads about what you need (fuel system, etc.) to support a single turbo in the Single Turbo section.

you'll need the fuel upgrades, ignition upgrades, block off plates, upgrade clutch and flywheel, a good boost controller, and a good tuner!! good luck!

Yeah, I wasn't searching for the swap, just single turbo setup and the rebuild stuff. I didn't really want to search for the swap, thanks.

It doesn't look like you want to search for much of anything, actually.

I have a manual parts car. Let me know what you need, and we can work out a good price.

This is all wasted money because even when you have your 5spd T-78 7 that can run around my car like silly, it's STILL gonna be pink and you're gonna get ragged on. How about you do a search on how to paint a car and what you need?

Goes to body shop tomorrow to get panels straightened and to get painted black. I shouldn't get ragged on anymore, unless you use things like, "Dude, your car used to be pink."

My internet is slow, so if I can get other people to search I would think that makes me smart?

Or a cheap ***.

If you can afford to go single turbo and have your car painted, why don't you get broadband?

Maybe because I live in the middle of nowhere and I don't have access to anything else. Sucks sometimes living in the country.

I'm in the middle of single turbo upgrade along with engine rebuild (already a manual). Here's what you'll need:
1. Single turbo kit
2. Fuel pump
3. Injectors
4. Fuel rail
5. Fuel pressure regulator
6. Fuel lines
7. Programmable ECU
8. HKS twin power or similar ign amp
9. 13B master overhaul kit
10. Porting template
11. Engine hoist and stand (with rotory adaptor)
12. A good set of precision gauges (caliper, micrometer os various sizes up to 4", dial gauge, magnetic stand, telescoping gauges)
13. Cleaning chemicals (carb cleaner, lot's of it)
14. Instructional video/shop manual
15. Torque wrenches (in/lbs, ft/lbs)
16. High quality air tools (will save you lot's of time but it's optional)
17. Time
18. Dyno time

Assuming you do not need ANY new parts for the rebuild. It's going to cost around 9,000 if you do all of it your self. If there are parts that needs to be replaced due to failed tolerances, which I suspect ther will be, figure in another 400-2000. That brings your grand total up to a likely 11,000 with NO labor.
By the way, you'll notice my list does NOT include the cost for the transmission swap.
