Exclamation HELP - Motor Suddenly Running Rough

Thanks for those that take the time to read this and help me out. IF you could give me some insight on what to check etc, it's appreciated

I was coming off the freeway (was running perfectly fine) and all of a sudden, the vacuum gauge is going crazy and there is almost no power to the motor. I then limped the car back home.

I've done a quick check and looked at the vacuum hose i could see including the map sensor hose and those look fine. At idle, the motor runs really rough, but above 2K the motor is a bit smoother, but of course not to normal specs.

For some reason, i'm ruling out the apex seal b/c i wasn't driving hard, just regular freeway (coasting downhill).

I'm thinking it could be either a lose vacuum hose somewhere (under the UIM possibly) or it could be very dirty spark plugs or a bad wire or coil. My plugs are about 5K old.

Specs on Car.
Reman Motor (30K+ miles) with about same mileage
stock twins turbos.
Mods are Full Exhaust< ECU, IC, basically all the bolt ons and i'm only running 10psi.

Thanks for any help.

How would a stuck BOV cause a poor idle?

I've heard that leaking injectors can cause a problem like this. If I were you I would do a compression test first, because your symptoms sound really close to a blown apex seal.

thanks for the responses guys. I think tomorrow, imma go and do a nice visual search of all the plugs and hoses. If that doesn't check out...imma do a compression test using my ghetto comp tester for pistons or just do it by ear. The car itself does have over 100K miles on it..i don't doubt the fuel injector or the coil coulda gone bad.

On MAF equiped cars(like FC's), major vacuum leaks will cause a rough idle. However, FD's use MAP sensors. I've ran my car without any IC piping.

yeah, but i think a lose hose somewhere in the rats nest could cause a rough idle. If worse comes to worse..i'll bring my car to ivan for him to check it out etc.
