Help me understand vacuum brake bleeding system garage used on the 7

Ok here is what I am contending with. My RX7 is strictly a weekend car at best unfortunately. The brake pedal requires a pump before it feels solid. I assumed that the brakes needed to be bled. I don't have my vacuum pump that I normally use to draw the fluid out and I don't really have the time to do it in the garage on the weekend anymore like I used to. That being said I took it to a reputable shop today that told me that they don't bleed brakes anymore, they use a vacuum system that flushes the entire system out. The did it and I feel no difference in how the brakes feel after having it done. My question is how does this system work? I know how bleeding it from caliper to caliper can get air out and new brake fluid into a system but not this new method works. They only attatch the system to the top of the brake system i.e. the master cylider. How do they draw the brake fluid from the calipers out to exchange it when they don't attatch anything to the calipers. To me it is like sucking on a straw full of liquid with you finger at the other end, nothing happens because the opposite end is closed.

Could somebody explain this system to me so that I know when I take it back that thier new way is valid. I do trust these people and I am not doubting that it could be my mastercylinder. It isn't like I have been the easiest on my car and also it has 108k on it. What would you all do? I think it feels like there is air in the line, but if their new system does what it says there is no way it could be.

there still could be air trapped in the abs system. that and you must remember the deflection thingy (where when you turn, the brake rotor does deflect a bit and this causes a space when it straights out. since our brakes arnt designed for race and arnt spring loaded, we must pump them to get rid of this space and then pump again to start braking well). more likely then not, there is still air in yoru system and it is truly a bitch to get it all out (i have been trying to get all the air out of my system for 2 years haha)
