Blitz 03s are my favorite. Get 18x8 for the front and 18x10 for the back.

5k??? Are you serious... This should be moved to the suspension/tires/wheels section, but for 5k and I am sure "ARD T2" aka Rishie can help you pick something out..He has his own shop. If you have something in mind PM him and I am sure he will be one of the better prices you'll get. He is the offical "forum tire/wheel guy"...

oohh...5G's will get you almost any wheel tire combo, short of 20" Davin Wheels.

hmmm....the nicest wheels kinda depend on the color of your car. but the nicest wheels for the FD, IMO:

Kinesis K58
HRE 540
Racing Hart C2
VOLK LE-37T
VOLK SE-37K
VOLK III
Work Meister S2R
Work Meister S2
Blitz Type 03
Blitz Technospeed Z1
Advan RG

i'll start searchin for pics of FD's with those rims.

I have the perfect pick for your budget, but no one has said it. And they're hard to get.

Anyways, yes you can fit 19" on an FD with some work. The Garage Daytona FD has 19" Advan Model 7s on it and they drift it. BUT I urge you not to go for the bling and get something more practicle than 19" bicycle wheels for the car. The weight is crazy and you'll really mess up your performance and handling, you'll chew tires, and those tires will be expensive. It would take a lot of doing to have me even consider 18" wheels.

Those are very nice, too. And they make them gold-spoked. Work Meister is a good choice, as JoeD said ... gold spoked is diggity.

OK, they look a little silly on this funky pink Amemiya FD, but they're bomb. If I wasn't on 56K dialup right now and instead at school on the blaze I'd look up some better pictures of them on cars (and I just may get bored and do that anyways ... go to www.overboost.com and look under last year's Tokyo Auto Salon pictures), but these wheels are silly to get.

This link should have the price chart ... get some 8.5 width for front and 10 or 10.5 for back. They're made specifically for the FD.

I think Advan model 5's are the best looking rims. Thats what im getting come this spring. plus you would have some money left over, maybe throw on a bodykit while your at it.

I like this ones.
Not the hottest, but this is what I have now, so since I have no $$$
they're the BEST.

I like my classic mesh :

These pics are a bit dark, and coupled with the fact that I had them painted gunmetal - they are a bit hard to see. Better pics here:

Ask for the owner, Hiro. Very nice guy.

*edit*, ah - here ya go:

I got 18X8.5 +44 and 18X10 +44. If were to do it again, I'd get 18X9 +44 or 18X8.5 +40. The rear wheels are flush with teh body work, and the fronts are sunk into the front fender a tiny bit, so the alternate sizes above would bring out a bit.

I might just space them out with H&R 5mm spacers, or see if Hiro can order me up just the rim halves (i'm hoping its the same center section). Really no big deal, and I have temp 225/40/18s which are skinny, so that may be contributing to the illusion. Get some 245/35/18s on there and it might even it out.

Tire selection should be 245/35/18s front, 285/30/18s rear. Hiro charged me a very reasonable $65 per wheel for disaasembling, painting and reassembling - it came out prefect. Much better in cost then one of the other sets of wheels I had on my car, the SSR Decolts that were on Adam Saruwatri's car (way back when he was sponsered by SSR). Those are now on choatica7's extremely sweet brilliant black:

Advan's are great if you have the cash for them. They're my fav rims... most of the rims (even 18inch) are under 20 lbs.

(in order of preference)

1. Super Advan Racing

2. Super Advan Gen II

3. Work Meister SZ

4. AVS Model 6
