Im tryin to figure whats the best ingtion setup that will support 500hp plus. I tryed running stock coils and a msd 6al and that worked till about 450hp but then had problems above that. Im running the aem ems with full fuel system and a mild street port and greddy t88h.

i don't know what the best setup is but i run the NEW Jacobs Rotary Pro Pak from ari yellen's rx7.com. ari co-designed the unit expressly for the rx7 and makes 700 rwhp. according to him ignition is now not an issue. the old jacobs had a problem that has been addressed. you might call them and check it out.
BTW, who are you and where are you in my state... are you going to the RR?

My Jacobs just failed

...and I was running on trailings only. I'm fed up with the Jacobs. I had it set up to fire two separate V8 Crane LX91 coils vs. the stock dual output lead coil. I ran good for a year on it. Maybe the amp is not able to deal with firing two separate coils (ea. acting as a lead coil)?
