Help identifying wires...
Okay i just want to get this wrapped up and have a few wires that i am not sure about. I lent my workshop manual to a friend...so need quick help.
Yes that is a 3 rotor in the car...
Currently the water temp isn't working on the gauge cluster...it works perfect on the Microtech. Do any of the wires pictured need to be hooked up?
The water temp buzzer is driving me nuts. I want to ground it out so it goes away...what wire is it?
Two of the wires on the bottom are white plugs with a red dot on one side of them and no they dont connect together. I think one is for the oil level and i'm not sure on the other one.
There's a probe with a single spade coming out of the back of the motor.
The spade that's blurry is right under the oil filler neck...i think that's water temp...but i can't find a female in that area that would go on it.

I don't have a 3 rotor but if the connectors are remotely the same as a 2-rotor that first picture looks like the oil level sensor.
Is it possible that some of these are for the A/C?
Finally, the third picture reminds me of the oil pressure unit.
You might have more success if you asked in the 20B forum section - rather than the 3rd Gen.

(keep in mind this is all based off of my knowledge of 2 rotor FDs, I'm pretty sure of all this is correct but am currently out of state with no FD engine bay to poke around in)
1st pic looks to be oil level sender..... other end of the connector will come off the sending unit in the oil pan, driver's side.
2nd pic is the reason why your oem water temp gauge isn't reading, it takes a black spade off the starter/alt/battery harness.
3rd pic is indeed the oil pressure sending unit.
4th and 5th pics look to me to be wires for the a/c and/or p/s units.
re: the coolant level buzzer, the sensor is on the front of the t-stat housing/coolant filler neck. The body takes a 17mm wrench to tighten or loosen it and it has a rubber washer behind it. It plugs in via a white spade connector to the engine harness, the other end runs back behind (and over the top of) the water pump housing.
If you're not concerned about it's functionality, you can ground the wire to get it to stop BUZZING, lol. Another (more correct) solution is to plug in the black spade connector which should be located over by the p/s pump. one side is on the engine harness and one side is on the battery/alt harness.

Ok, so maybe I've had a couple wires hooked up incorrectly for a while now LOL. So if the wire/connector for the water temp sensor (in the block next to the oil press sending unit) comes from the starter/ignition harness, does the wire/connector for the oil pressure sending unit come from the engine wiring harness? If so, I've had those two switched for a while now haha.
I also had some part of the engine wiring harness grounded using the black connector that looks like the one in the 5th pic. The connectors fit together, but now I'm thinking it was incorrect. Oh man.
