Are you running an AT? I'm assuming you are talking about the rear counterweight that the flex plate or Light weight flywheel attaches too?

If it just the counter weight and you don't have the proper tools, just use a blunt cold chisel between the counterweight and the rear stationary gear. Be careful otherwise you'll dent the counterweight outer sealing surface.

I need help too!! I tried almost everything to get the rear counter weight off but it wont budge. I did all the suggestions that I saw when I did the search on this topic but the damn thing dont want to come off. I used all kinds of pullers, long pry bars, hit it with sledge hammer and cursed it a lot but still no joy.... Any suggestions? i've been trying to get it off for several days now and i'm getting really pissed. Help please!!

By the way, I have an 86NA, automatic Trans.

hit it on the outer most edge with a bigger malet. It is on a tapered shaft and will pop free.
