Question HELP found a vac leak now what (PICS)

ok i had some boost isues this weekend. went from an 11-6-12 to a 8-5-5. today i was rummaging and found a hose disconnected from a pill. put it back on threw all the crap back together test drove and got an improvement 9-6-10 pattern. better but not up to par yet. went back and found 2 things under the small airbox between the UIM and the alternater.

ok so one of the things i wound was an open nipple with no hose in sight... im hoping one of u guys knows what this hose goes to (where the hose begins if this is where it ends or where the hose ends if this is where it begins) if anyone knows anything about this particular line (pic below) and if it would cause a boost problem i would like as much input as possible.

next issue is the red box to the right. im not too sure on what this piec is. its a vac line i know that but its got a clip or something on the end. i dont know, is this supposed to be attatched somewhere . i know these designers bust have been a little coo coo for cho cho puffs but i dont think they built the engine with $#it dangling like that. if anyone knows where that should go id like to get some info also (pic below)

last is the throttle body. on the bottom of the piece whrer the throttle line connects to it and moves the flap open, there is a magnet or something of that sort kinda just there just surious if thats how its supposed to be heh.(pic below)

i appalogize for the lack of technical names and my ery limited knowledge or the engine bay. heh but im new with rotary and only 18 but im learning. id appreciate all the help i can get from u guys.

-Mike

Yes, allrotor93 is absolutely correct.

Remove and re-install all of the piping from the turbos to the intercooler and the UIM. Sounds like either one of those are loose or have a split in one of them.

Also, check around where you were looking to see if there are any of those black rubber hoses are cracked. They tend to become brittle over time.

Good luck.

Sounds like you need to take her down for a while and do the hose replacement job to make sure you have proper pressure around your vacume system. Do you have the original hoses on the 7? they look original....

yes yes, the one with the thing on the end is a filter, it filters air hehe its supposed to be like that, the second one with no hose is for automatic cars. like they said, check for splits in the intercooler couplers, and make sure u pull them off and check for cracks then, u cant tell whne htey are on the car, and I reccomend that u just rip off your manifold and replace all thsoe crappy black rubber poop lines. its so nice when u dont have to worry about them going crap anymore. you might want to test your check valves too!

i agree with atihun. check all the hoses between the turbos and the intake manifold. if you still have the stock y-pipe, check the rubber coupling right above it. also check the crossover pipe for cracks on the bottom. check the lower intercooler hose for splits (mine just split wide open this weekend)

the check valves are the little green and white things with both ends plugged in to vacuum lines.

you will want to repalce the UIM-TB gasket, and the UIM - LIM gasket, and there are 3 electrical plugs on the underneath of the UIM, one ground wire, one coolant hose, two solenoids bolted to it, blah blah. Its kinda bitch if u have nver done it before, but if u you take your time its easy pie . There is also the TPS sensor on the throttle body, and two coolant lines, once u get the UIM off, u just replace each hose once at a time, u will want to take the solenoid rack out to get the hoses underneat, and u might wanna replace your FPD while its off. *wipes brow* sheesh, too much typing. It sounds like a BITCH but its really not that difficult.

Mazda sells the gaskets. I don't think they are too terribly expensive.
