Unhappy Help with engine Stalling

Well my FD is not a daily driver so it doesn’t get driven very much only like on weekends and also gets started during the weekdays and has a Mazda reman that hasn’t been broken into yet. Well my problem is when driving the car it runs good but after driving it for some time when getting close to a stop light and putting it in neutral to come to a full stop the RPMs drop very low some time almost killing the car and when light turns green and put it in 1st and start to rev the car to get going sometimes the RPM just drop very quickly and kill the car. Can any body help me out on with this problem thanks?

idle might be too low for a new engine that hasnt built compression what's your hg vac at idle? maybe turn up the idle some under the elbow i had the same issue and my car has 30k miles on reman..it was idling at 400-500rpms when thrown into neutral i adjusted the tps and the actual hard idle control now its much better..check ur grounds too my car would stall once in a while when the clutch disengaged very quickly into turns...i got under the car and the main ground connection was loose and i tightened it things are a little better now

could be a mess of things, what kinds of AFR's is the car pulling, is it bogging? if so, a rich bog or a lean bog. Also, how does the motor act when a/c, or healights are on. or when its cold/warm?

That sounds about right I think you might be right about the idle might be too low for a new engine that hasn’t built compression. Aim going to try to turn up the idle and adjust the tps because Aspec gave me the car with a high idle and then they turn it back down and I never notice any thing like that till now with the idle around 500 rpm. Thanks if any body else has any other ideas let me know.

No the car is running fine no bogging well I cant really tell yet since I cant push it yet because its still breaking in and when the headlights get turned on it only goes up in idle witch sounds normal to me when you and any other load on the engine.

If you are idling in neutral (foot off the clutch), is the car fine? Do the RPM drop when you press the clutch pedal?

isnt the idle meant to be high for a new engine according to mazda? didnt brand new rx7's idle much higher than usual for a 12k mile switch or something?

Yes the idle does change but not much until I start to rev the car up and start to release the clutch sometimes it will die out. Unless if I can catch it on time before it dies out and have some time to push down on the clutch some and rev it to higher RPM to prevent from dieing out.

I would start with the easiest thing to check, the clutch switch.

If your clutch switch is indeed going south, the idle adjustments won't help.

Hey bro I checked out my dashpot and it looks like the little nipple that comes out of the dashpot isn’t touching anything and also one other do you know how far out is the little nipple suppose to come out? Thanks
