Help with EGT guage/probe installation

Just picked up EGT guage and probe kit and not sure where to mount the probe. It is the kind that holds the probe in place with large SS hose clamp. I can get the kind that I need to weld a bung if the clamp kind is no good. Appreciate your help....Tom

dunno bout the clamp. I had to drill a hole and have my buddy weld it into my DP. Didnt take long.

Oh and be sure to position it on the side of the DP away from the Turbo's. Mine seemed to be picking up alot of the heat coming off the turbos, that had us perplexed during tuning.

You want to use the threaded bung type (welded in). The clamp type is not going to last on a turbo application, esp the FD setup. I agree with Heattreated to have it welded just opposite the turbo outlet so it gets blasted with the exhaust gasses.
