help driver side key hole
Alright, the driver side keyhole (that illuminates........so cooool.....) is messed up now. it seems that opaque sp? piece that moves out of the way when the key is inserted has fallen off inside there and is now prefenting me from getting the key inside.
Is there a way to get in there and fix that piece or at least remove it? I'm sorry if this is a repost, but it's annoying not being able to lock my doors or take my precious fd anywhere.
any help appreciated 100 times over.
thanks

Holy crap, that's the most convoluted way to do something simple....
Remove your lock cylinder and take it to a local locksmith. For under $10, they'll clean, lubrate, and put a brand new flapper on the lock that's a REAL made for the purpose flapper, not a part of a dental floss box
.
I had both mine done when I got my car. They had it done during my lunch break, and I got both sides done and 3 keys copied for under $20.
