Whooshing noise, more vacuum.......

i tried searching but i couldn't find any genuinely helpful information, so...

anyways, as i was driving today i began to notice that my vacuum at idle would go from 14-16 (mild street port) to 18-20 at idle. then, as i accelerated i noticed a sucking (or blowing?) noise, "whooooooosh" as my rpm's climbed that i've never noticed before...

could this just be a vacuum hose issue?

i also have an a'pexi BOV, in case that might also be the problem.

thanks!

sounds like a boost leak. check the couplers between the y-pipe and the cross-over pipe and the connectors to/from the intercooler.

What's your boost pattern?

it was around 10-8-10, normal i suppose, but usually it goes up to 11 under WOT (no boost controller yet, working on it), so i guess you could say it might have gone down 1-2 psi? i don't believe there was anything terribly wrong with the boost though (no staying at 2 psi, etc.)
