Lightbulb Help! In need of assistance

I own a 93 R1 that I bought two year ago second hand. Today as I was driving in the fog, I noticed that my lights on my gauge cluster back-lit light was not on. However, the odometer dimmed to the point where I could barely see it. I looked for the fuse and the only one I could relate to the lights was the one under the dash marked "Meter." It was not broken and I have no idea what to check next. I do not have the owners manual so I can't look it up. Has anyone else had this problem and was able to fix it easily. Please help, I don't want to buy a new gauge cluster. All advice is welcomed, thanks.

Probably one of the lights in the back of the cluster went out. It is easy to replace the bulb if you can get to it. It is the 194 bulb and it is a pull out type.

See my latest post on tachs (do a search) and I describe the instrument cluster removal. A manual is available online at www.iluvmyrx7.com Also, the bulb holders may just need to be twisted in the sockets a little bit to get a better connection, I have had this problem before.

Check the obvious first

I removed my gauge pod to do the temp gauge mod. After I reinstalled it none of my gauge lights worked. I checked the fuses, connectors on back, swapped bulbs. The damn thing just didn't work, I was pissed.
I looked thru the shop manual wire diagram & noticed the dimmer switch was common to all the gauge lights.
Yep, I had bumped the **** when I pulled the gauge pod out.
After 2 hours of troubleshooting, I just turned the dimmer **** back up.
