HELP - Common places to look for an oil leak???

I'm leaking oil, but it's on the side of the oil filter, and not towards the turbos. Any common places to look, it's pretty messy since it's been a gradual thing, so I cant really tell where it's coming from, it's definitely above the plugs cause I can see some oil on part of the wires. Any help would be appreciated.

take off you oil filter and there are one or two small o-rings between where the oil filters sits and the block. you have to take off a few screws and a large banjo bolt to get to them though. that's is probably where it is coming from. those rubber o-rings get hard and don't seal.

other common places that i guess are not your problem is the rear main seal and turbos.

I have had an oil leak from the oil filler neck. If you follow the oil filler neck down, you will find that it bolts to the lower section with two screws. There is an O ring there between the two pieces. Mine was leaking there and that is right in the area that you are talking about. Hope this might help. Good Luck
