Unhappy Help. CLeaned intake now IDle high

I just used a CRC intake spray cleaner where you just spray in the butterflies and drive around for awhile. Ever since then my idle is sitting at 1400 RPMs. I cant adjust the idle screw anymore because its at its lowest level. Im thinking the spray has damaged a senser or a gasket. ANy help.

Use the search feature from this forum. Someone just posted the same thing and I think he said it will go away within a hundred miles. I just saw this post a few days ago. If you can't find it, I will look it up for you. Good luck.

Just give it time to burn out, some of the cleaner probably got on a sensor.

Don't rag on the car to get it out because the sensor might be reading wrong.

I couldn't find the thread where the other member used a spray cleaner. However, here is another thread that might help you out.

After you cleaned it, the idle will be slightly higher due to better air flow. The ECU should be able to adjust it within a hundred or so miles. How much has your idle increased?

Someone also mentioned that the two brackets that hold the throttle cable can be loosen to lower the idle a little.

I think the screw on the front side of the throttle body can be turned a little to give you more adjustment range on your idle screw located under the throttle body.
