OK my 3rd gen wont start, it just happend one day when i went to turn it on . I think it may be flooded (cuz i possibly turned it off too quickly after it had been turned on ), and if it is, i would like to know how to de-flood a 3rd gen. Now i know its not the bat or the starter cuz it cranks just fine, but it just cranks forever without igniting. I do smell a bit of gasoline when i crank it so im hoping its flooded. Anyone have any clue or idea if im right or maybe what the problem is?

 

If you smell gas, then it probably is flooded.

This has been gone over many times but ill tell you anyway. Best thing to do is clean your plugs, then while the plugs are out, crank your car with your EGI OUT. Now put your cleaned plugs back in, put your EGI back in and go start the car. It should start up fine.

Make sure you have a fully charged battery too.
