How 'bout a LS-6 (Z06's engine) in a FD?
That's why I have an LS-1 (basicly the same as LS-6) sitting on my bedroom floor.
Another thing to add is RPM's I read a big long thing on how this guy proved that a 300 HP car with 350 ft lbs of torque with an 6000 RPM redline (in same car with same gearing of couse) Will indeed loose to a car with 300 HP and 300 ft lbs of torque if it has 1000 more RPM's to pull. So if we forget about gearing in a drag race a 405HP/475TQ (correct me if i'm wrong) would loose to an 375HP/X amount of TQ cause A) as we all know the car is lighter. B) it has another 1500-2000 RPM's over the Z06.
Sorry if anything I said was misplaced, feel free to correct anything.

Oh I forgot to say that was a car running aprx 14 flat in the quarter and finished in 4th. I also forgot how much aprx time you loose by shifting but it's a lot more then you think that's why the higher RPM's things work cause the other guy would/could possibley have to shift again but **** if your 20ft away from the time boards wouldnt you just hold gear? I guess this instince the guy used wasn't vary real life-ish but it still made sence if racing to say 150mph or sumthin like that.

Well said, lets put it this way, the rx7 is lighter and thats all it needs to beat a vette. Sure the Vette has alot of torque but it will be to busy peeling out its tires at the start, while we take off with the quick spooling turbos and the less weight.
