Help buying low-mile R2, need advice

Found a Silver 1995 R2 with original ~6000 miles, yes six thousand, no missing numbers . Ran a carfax and everything checked out good. It was on ebay and the auction ended at $24,000 but it didn't meet the reserve. I called the dealer and sent an email, still waiting for the response. What do you guys think? Nadaguides gave a value of $20,400. How much would you pay for it? I've owned a 1st and a second generation but this would be my first experience in a 3rd-gen. Thanks in advance for your help...

Find out if it's been driven regularly - and get a compression test done. If it's sat idle for several years, word is that it may ruin the apex seal springs.

Carfax reports that it passed emissions test in January 22, 2003 at 5760 miles in Houston, TX. According to the dealer info on the mileage it looks like it's been run less than 200 miles in 14 months. It makes me wonder why it hasn't been sold.

Blue book value means nothing with an FD as you will come to find out.

That is the Jeff Haas Mazda car, it's been discussed many times. They want about $31k for it.

Its a 95 R2 with 6,000 miles. Someone will pay $30k for it. How many of these come up? Especially in silver?

not saying I would pay 30k (im not looking for something to collect, sit in my garage and occassionally run a car duster over) but its a very nice car

a silver 95 R2 is the rarest of the rare... with only 6000 miles i would gladly pay 30,000 for it to keep it on display as a collector. i doubt i would drive it at all... however i can really only see it selling for about 27500, which IMO is what it is really worth. hell, when i put my black 95 R2 up for sale for 19,000 people yelled at me for pricing it so low!

and like it was said above, KBB and everything mean nothing when it comes to early 90's japanese sports cars

Check the Carfax report here:

http://www.carfax.com/cfm/FSBO.cfm?r...FX000006009649

They want $30,000 for it and supposedly already have a buyer.
