Help...accident

I was stopped at a light and began to make a left turn...my wheels broke and I got spun 180, and my car stalled. Then I rolled forward into a van at ~2 MPH. Do the power brakes fail when the car stalls? It felt like they gave.

Anyway, It was so slow, that even though it it right on my blinker light, it didn't crack it. I will need to replace the front panel. How much do you guys think that will cost? Insurance is covering it. If it costs about the same, I would like the J-spec kit.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Oh, and this will probably make my 7 a nice driveway ornament seeing as how my insurance is going to skyrocket, so I want it to look good there.

I feel for you as I just spun my 7 too. I plan on being a bit more cautious now!

I believe in most cars, after the car has shut off you have one press of the brakes with the power assist. After that one press the brakes still work, you just need to apply more force to the pedal since there is no pwer assist.

ya

You better believe I was on that thing hard. The reason I think that they must've gone out, is because I was going 2 MPH and not slowing down with all my force on the brake. It felt like i was on ice, but I wasn't.

Anybody have estimates on a new front panel??

Thanks
