Hi there
My buddies RX is giving him hell!
We checked the timing at idle its reading around 54 degrees on three different timing lights.Can the timing be set manually???
Its also running xtremely rich at idle,8 led's on a/f gauge.
On part throttle 6led's and wot it drops to 4-5 leds.
Weve put a fuel pressure gauge in aswell ,and the pressure doesnt drop but increases proportionately to boost.It also has a intermittent problem when it just comes on boost it backfires badly ,you have to put the ignition off and on and it will be ok for a couple of minutes before it starts its **** again.We have noticed that when it backfires the a/f gauge goes blank and picks up again.Ive checked if its the power cutting off but no signs of voltage drop etc.Have put numerous earth straps on the tb /manifold/alternator bracket/engine block etc.Car has also been changed to non-sequential with no luck.Had the downpipe ,midpipe and cats replaced with 76mm system Racin Beat back section.Have removed the air pump aswell ,replaced
fuel filter.
Any help would be appreciated !! ! ! ! !
last resort is to fit a aftermarket ECU.
