dont start jumping to anything bad yet mate,,,,start with the basics makes sure the radiator swap didnt upset any electrical connections,,,,,, try the unflooding procedure and dry out the spark plugs,,,,,, (theres a very good possibility it could be just flooded)

right mate when my car flooded out i did the following-> try all this first,,,, pull all 4 spark plugs and pull EGI fuse. now crank the car over for 20 seconds this should kick out all the fuel (if its flooded),,,, now dry the plugs (i cook them on a gas hob),, now put the plugs and the EGI fuse back in (make sure plug wires are on correct plugs) and try fire it up

did you detach the battery when you 'hosed' the engine bay?
you could potentially have fried a lot of stuff by bridging so many electrics.

You can hose off the entire engine bay. What do you think happens when you drive in the rain? All of the electrical connectors are sealed unless the harness is in really bad shape. Just don't do it when hot.

While i'll concede that the oil pan, and perhaps the front cover get wet when you drive in the rain, i'd confidently say that the battery terminals and harness aren't getting wet.
i could be wrong, there could be forces beyond my comprehension in that bay (which would be proven by a fully closed battery box).

i just don't think hosing it off is the best idea.

if you got a gas leak i suggest you find it mate,,,that means removing the upper intake manifold to get to all the fuel lines and injectors.

You just need to search for flooded, there are like 20 threads that will tell you what to do. I think you are flooded.

i bought the tune up kit from ray a month or so ago and the i changed out the plugs thinking that the old ones were dirty after it wouldn't fire up. it came with leading and trailing plugs. they look differant (new ones) and the old one all look like the flat plugs. (trailing?) what is the correct plug set-up. i now have two flat plugs and two semi standard looking ones. i followed the diagram on the plug box and installed accordinly. when i took my car to the local crapy mazda dealership about a year ago to get the plugs changed i guess they used the flat plugs in all four holes. whick is the corect set-up?

ok everyone... you wont believe how i got this thing to start! i had my brother walk around the car to check on the exhaust and he just put his hand on the muffler to sorta build up back pressure i guess and after about 3 secs the the car roared to life and shot a flame at least two feet long and burned his beard! it starts up now and we're going to flush it a dozen times or so with distilled water. so if anyone has problems starting up that has a full 3" from the turbo to the *** end, have someone close up the exhaust with there hand. it worked for me. oh yeah by the way has anyone installed a spark plug in the exhaust? just curious
