HELP. 02 sensor and Error Codes

Okay, i just installed my FMIC and i already have an air/fuel as well as the reading from my keypad on the PFS PMC.

Sometimes, the car reads way rich at throttle and idle (normal) but sometimes, like a switch, the readings go lean..and i mean way lean. But i can tell that the car isn't running that lean since it isn't dying or bogging etc.

On the drive home i get an error code 17 which means..

"17 L SSSSSSS Feedback System No change for 25 sec in feedback mode Yes"

I got the above from the archieves.

Ideas? what is the problem?? I think it could be the 02 sensor. Any help is appreciated. If i do need a replacement 02 sensor, where it the cheapest place?

okay, i checked and turns out my car is using one of those escort 3 wire (heated) 02 sensors. I also went an reset the ecu and it seems to be working better? I'll have to double check again. I might as well change the 02 sensor while i'm at it.

Hey Elmo, you helped me with my MAP problem, so maybe I can return the favor? Try replacing the O2 sensor with a Bosch. I did this and have had no problems. I think I got mine through RP. It is a direct bolt on replacement for the stock unit. And the price is right. Good luck to you.
