Hello RPM/Kmph highway driving

I was just wondering what RPM and SPeed you guys cruise at on the highway.

I am in Canada and at 100kmph I am at ~2600 rpm =)

Basically why I am asking this question is becuase I understand that the RX7 3rd gen is sequential turbo.. now from what i know the car starts spooling the primary turbo at ~2500rpm and There is power around ~3000rpm...

Now driving at 100 is kinda slow but I want to preserve my gas and all the newere cars just blow by me.. so anyways my question is:

If i drive around 120 my RPM goes up to ~3000, now because my primary is starting to boost around this rpm will this consume a whole lot more gas ?

Boost is not the reason you gas milage decreases it's your foot on the pedal. Increase of boost is function of of it

first of all get a boost gauge. That way you can monitor your boost. I forget at what "crusing speed" the car actually needs boost at. But it ain't at 120 KPH (80 MPH at 3k RPM) that's for sure.

The turbos aren't spooling automatically just because you are at 3000 rpm. They require load to spool.

If you are driving 60 mph on a freeway to "conserve gas", why the hell do you own an FD?

You are going to be going well over 100mph(167ish kph) before you actually need boost to sustain the speed you are at.
