Heating up tires question on FD..?

Ok, lately ive been practicing power braking in my 5pd FD.
To be able to heat up my tires, when i go to the track.

Anyways. I can't get my car to sit still doing a burn out.

When I break traction and start spinning. If I hit the brakes too hard
my car get squirrelly and fish tails like it wants to do a donut.

If I get on the brakes easily. I leave like 30yard screetch marks.

Thinking, damn if I go to the track, and I want to really heat up
tires, in the burn out box, im gonna look like an *** either way.
or not heat up the tires like I would like.

So anyone out there NOT USING LINE LOCK able to sit while burning out??
any tips?? or is a line lock the only way??

thanks

Your poor car. You can always do a burn out at the track and then back up to the start line. You don't have to stay in once place. Good luck.
