ON Heater Core !!

hey all

does anyone have or no where i could pick up a heater core , mine blew tonight . coolant went all over the girl i was driving home and right through the carpet and such =( !

any help on finding one or any easy tips on how to install it or anything would be awesome

my car is an FD , 93 and rhd , thanks again

Pick one up in the FD parts section of this forum. Get one with low miles and that has NEVER had block weld passed thru it. I've sold 4 of them here, all were good cores.

Your fd got jelouse, it made sure you wouldnt get to 3rd base that night.lol

I wouldn't go with a used one unless maybe it had very low mileage on it. The last thing you want is for it to bust and burn your passenger. I think it is too much work to go with a used one and have it fail.

They are no longer available through Mazda. Ray Crowe confirmed that they discontinued the heater core, and no dealer in the US had one. Used or aftermarket are your only options.

Those suckers are expensive. When mine blew, I had a radiator shop recore the old one. Cost about 1/3 the price of an oem unit. Replacement is straightforward, most of the work is pulling off the dash. Taking the clamps off of the two hoses connected to the heater core through the firewall is also a bit of a pain in the ***.

hey guys

thanks for the advice , i think rebuilt or used is the way ill prob have to go , i went to the mazda dealership in ontario here and they gave me a price of nearly 700$ with tax for a new one =S
