Heater control issues

I've been having an ongoing problem with my heat controls in my FD. At first none of the selector controls worked with the exception of blower position four(4). I found a short in the blower motor relay that fixed the mix(temp) and recirculate/fresh air button. I still have no mode control and only position four on the blower switch works. I have tested all the big wires for continuity, swapped out the resistor and the control unit and it makes no difference. I have not hooked up a/c since my swap, but I don't think that would make a difference. Anyone have any ideas where I should be looking/testing next?
