Heat shields

Are all those heat shields neccesary? I'm installing my downpipe, and am curious if I need to put them back on and if anyone has ran into problems removing all of them, even the one around the turbos. They are such a pain to work around.

Well, seeing as how the exhaust system can get as hot as 1500-2000 degrees, what do you think?

Arrow Leave em on

I removed them only to put them back on 2 days later. It really sucks.....Hot as hell. On my second gen I took them off and don't notice any difference but the 3rd gen its a huge difference. Its not worth saving weight.
