Headlights wont work

Does anyone or has anyone ever had there headlights out on a 95? The relays work and so does the switch. Is there a secret that I don't know? I need to get past a brake and lamp inspection to register the car in CA.

uhh, could it be that your bulb is bad? Are both out at the same time?

I can make lights work manually if i ground out the switch. All lights work just not from the switch.

I just had a very similar problem.

Do your high beams work?

Mine only worked if I held the switch back.

Do your lights go up?

Mine only went up if I used the switch on the dash.

Do your interior lights go on?

Mine did not.

What about your tail lights?

Mine did not work.

If this sounds familiar then, I'm sorry to say, it is the switch (which is a $315 part!!!)

You can buy a new switch OR if you are moderately electrically inclined you can rig up a manual switch and have it connected and rigged to :

1. Pop up your headlights
2. Turn on your head lights
3. Turn on your tail lights
4. Turn on your interior (console) lights
5. and even still alert you when you leave them on.

That's what I did.

The hardest part was realizing it actually WAS the switch that was bad.

Hope this helps....

Lights working now with a ground on the harness to the switch.
Only parking lights and right headlight. Left headlight is half way up and is dim. Need to also fix turn signals and flash to pass. When flash to pass is pulled the lights come on but the headlights don't come up. Any one with an Idea?
