Headlights out of adjustment?

I finnally figured out the 14mm bolt that allows you to adjust the headlights. My problem is after i've adjusted the headlights to both be flush when they are down, the passenger side headlight only comes up 3/4 of the way when they are up! If i make any adjustment to try to bring it up more then it wont be flush when the lights are down... Any other adjustmentpoints/suggestions?

to get the cover flush the only thing u need to loosen are the screws that are used to mount it, then tighten once u get it flush. no need to move the entire assembly if that is what u were saying u moved.

Unfortunately i've got the knightsports kit and never noticed if the covers were flush to begin with but they definately arn't now. The KS kit gets rid of the front screw holes to propping up the front without messing with the 14mm nut is beyond me... unless theres another adjustment somewhere?

The 14mm nut connects the rod to the motor that pops open the headlights. The rod is splined so that it holds it's position after u tighten it. However I can't get it to come up as high as the other one when they are both up, but at least they both sit flush now when they are down :P

wtfx100,

You need to adjust the fiberglass covers of the KS kit. Then you put the stock headlight covers on:

1. Take the headlight covers off
2. Pop the lights up with the headlight covers off
3. Adjust the fiberglass KS covers to be even on both sides
4. Pop the lights down
5. Install headlight covers

That should get them where you want them. You may have to do this a few times to get it to sit flush with the rest of the car body. You might just adjust one at a time until it's flush.
