Headlight Washers

Hey,

going to have an RX-7 delivered soon with HID conversion done. However, is there a kit/parts available for also adding headlight washers (nozzles to spray window washer fluid)? Seems like difficult to find, but there are a lot of smarter people around here than google results.

Only European cars had headlight washers, and they didn't make many of them. Finding the OEM parts would be VERY hard if not impossible.

You would probably have to look at some aftermarket setup.

Did Mazda include the headlight washers on the Canadian market FDs? I know they did with the FBs & FCs, and I think that was one of those things mandated by the Canadian gov't back then, like the daytime running lights. Not sure if they did the same with the FD. If they did, it might make it a little easier for the OP to find those parts used in North America.

Welp, found out that I can't use HIDs anyway as it's illegal in my country to convert to types of light that did not come with the car from the factory. Since no FDs came with HIDs from factory, I'll need to convert them back to halogen anyway So will start looking for LHD headlights from Europe, if anyone has OEMs for LHD, feel free to message me

The only major markets not equipped with headlight washers appeared to be US and Japan. Do have a headlight washer switch somewhere here, the major components, nozzles, headlight bezels and rear tank with the multi pumps (excluding the reproduction one) are all NLA for well over a decade.

Are LED bulbs legal in Estonia? That might be an alternative to HIDs. I replaced my HIDs with LED and like the better. It also is a simple bulb replacement and utilizes the stock wiring and plugs.

Sadly can't. The law for inspection says that only type of bulbs are prohibited to use that came from the factory. So since FDs only came with halogens, I have to use halogens. If some cars have both halogens and HIDs from factory, then I can retrofit the HID part on my car, but it has to be OEM or with the specific E-valuation or whatnot. Thus I found out that I'm kind of stuck to using halogens only :/

Once I have it registered, I might make the switch while driving on the street as long as I'm not blinding anyone else and only keep the halogens for the inspection but will see - have to prepare everything for getting it registered first and cosmetics can come later
