Headlight Motor Help
I am replacing my headlight motors for my pop ups. I have the driver side installed but they are operating backward.
When I twist the **** to turn the headlights on they turn on, but go down. When I turn them off they pop up and stay off.
I tried unplugging the motor then manually moving them down then they are off and it pops them right back up..
Any help?

I tried the Retraction Button. It does function, but only with the headlights off.
Everything seems to be working, only problem is that when I turn the combination lights on, the popup lights go down with the headlight bulbs on...
Turning the combination lights to off makes the headlights pop up and turn off.
I am so confused.. Any help?

have you tried swapping the wires around to reverse it?
with electric motors if you reverse the polarity it goes the other way..maby try swapping the positive and negative around and see if that works.

If you look at the schematic in the shop manual: As designed stock, by applying Battery voltage to the R/Y wire, the lights should go down. If you apply the same voltage to the R/L wire, the lights should pop up. I'd test this directly. If the lines do the opposite of what is intended then apparently the 99 spec lights are wired in reverse(I wouldn't know I've never had a set). In this case you need to switch the lines to get your intended operation.
If this does not fix things, start testing the lines and make sure the proper lines are active according to the schematic diagram below.
