headlight beam problem HELP
I recently installed a pair of Sylvania Silverstars into my fd in hope of gaining better lighting. After finishing I noticed how unaligned my headlights were. The passenger side shines very far and strong while the driver side puts out a lesser distance. This was not very noticeable before the bulb replacement but now it is very annoying. I went to get them aligned yesterday and they said it was fixed but the problem still remains. I shined the lights onto my garage wall and the driver side (the messed up side)seems to put off the light just a hair higher than the passenger side. I tried pushing that side down just a little by hand and checking to see if that might be a fix but it didn't help. Please give any suggestions and advice.
Thanks,
Jordan

You know, you don't have to adjust any screws or bolts to align the headlights. In the front of the enging bay next to each headlight there is a small black piece of equipment that is used to adjust the height of the beam. You will see a little rubber cover piece that says "turn clockwise" and has an arrow on it. Take the cover off, turn the **** until the beams are even and you're all set.

I wanted better headlights lights, too and purchased a set of 2 bulbs called "Super White Xenon" off of e-bay for about $25. These are tinted blue and much, much brighter, but like spoolin said, you do need to be careful about being sure that the tangs on the bulbs are correctly aligned in the reflectors.
Since my car is lowered about 1 inch in the front and 1-1/2 in the rear, it really needs the headlights re-adjusted. I found the following DIY link and the procedure looks straight forward enough, but I haven't tried yet.

You can actually insert the bulbs upside down. I didn't think it mattered but after my new PIAA bulbs the light pattern was all wack, daddy mac.
If this is the problem, just rotate the bulbs. There seemed to be only two ways it would fit even though it looks like three combinations.
Oh, I figured it out when the high beam went lower then the low beam "lol" D'oh!
