FL have to change tranny fluid when replacing clutch?

i just got a few bottles of redline mtl90 and was going to change my tranny fluid, but i have a clutch replacement coming up in a few weeks......i dont want to put new fluid in just to drain it out in a few weeks. can the clutch be replaced without draining the fluid??

If you tilt the tranny, the fluid will leak out when the driveshaft is removed, unless you plug the hole. Better to replace the fluid when you do the clutch job.

Doing everything at once is the best solution.

I found that the cap of a small touchup paint can plugs the driveshaft hole perfectly. I pulled the transmission out and replaced the 5th gear synchro without losing a drop of transmission fluid by doing this.
