American Bling blinging?? What are you speaking of man hehe!?? If you sit in any European Exotic...Ferrari, Porsche, Panoz, Lambo, McLaren, you will find Chrome bezzled gauges. It is called Classic Sports Car style my friend. Take the chrome trim out and you have a very Nice Honda Accord look. It's all good....whatever you likessssss.

Classic sports car style? That's something I would not want my FD to be, that's for sure. If I wanted a european car, i would get one. I wasn't going to keep it on just cause it resembles a ferrari

I suppose you could paint them body color, especially if you have a VR.
But to each his own. Hang onto them in case you sell the car though.

Why is this even being argued/discussed? He dosn't like them and others do... Not much room to argue here. I personally like them, but thats my opinion. He dosnt, thats his car and he does what he pleases. I think people are just responding so they can get 1 more post on their post count #...what a life we live...

i like the idea of painting them the color of the car.... body matched interiors are nice.... i had some parts from my old car body matched. and it looked really good... but it was a honda and the parts are very inexpensive to replace... not that of the fd... personally i like the chrome rings.... i also like the sleek look of the instrument panel without the chrome.... i would imagine that it would depend on the scheeme of the car and the thoughts of the owner... but i think it looks cool either way

If anyone else hates their chrome rings, I will take them. Mine are peeling also.

It reminds me of my MGB that I used to have. Many of the critics condemned the chrome ring design back in 1992-93, but I just say BITE ME !!!!

(HAHAHAHAHAHA)

I like the chrome.

Tim

My rings are flaking too. They're not as shiny as the used to be. Are they easy to remove? Has any one bought new ones from Mazda or an aftermarket vendor?

Hey Red, I'm with ya. Never been a big fan of chrome tires, trimmings, or the gauges for that matter...thanks for the idea, I'll be taking mine off tomorrow.

To chrome or not to chrome? That is the questions.

I say, I love the chrome. All the other car companies are copying the idea, like the new Toyota Matrix. It's the IN thing, Dude!

I got your back man. My chrome rings look horrible wiht my new defi boost gauge and they are also flaking. I might try to paint them more of a greyish-gunmetal or just take them off completely like you did.

I like the chrome, and it does add a "sporty" feeling but if you do something to your car that's free, doesn't look like ****, and makes your diffrent from everybody else then i'm for it.
Nick

(p.s no i wouldn't take them off myself)

I think the chrome rings look good even if they are trying to be like a Ferarri.

"How much is one of those cars?"
"More than you make in a year pal, FERARRI."
"Smoke him."

Muahahaha.
