hatch struts

I just bought a carbon fiber hatch and the stock struts seemed to be too strong.
the hatch can not close ALL the way down.
water is not going in but i'd like it too be all the way flush instead of popped up a little bit
suggestions guys ?

If your hatch won't close all the way, it is NOT the fault of the struts. You have a fitment issue.
