hatch shocks problems
ok...ive been reading for the past 2 hours...made 2 phone calls...and still no solution...need some help guys..i just painting my fd and removed the hatch...never took the shocks off tho...just put it back on today and installed the shocks...went to put the rear plastics in and doesnt fit. rubs on the plastic...so i took the shocks off...put the plastics in...then reinstalled the shocks...same problem...actually broke a small piece closing the hatch...any advice? not sure if it makes a difference but it seems i get abit more pressure from the shocks...ive checked pics and i mounted them right....just neede to know if anyone has had similar problems...help please!

When the old struts would not hold, I bought a small piece of 3 sided aluminum, and cut it to the length of the extended strut piston. I would open the hatch, and slide the aluminum into place. It worked very well.
