It looks pretty nice and has some nice upgrades. I don't think the price is all that out of line. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

I can't say it's ever happened to me. Of course you have to make informed decisions. I paid a hefty price for my car when I purchased it with 14,000 miles on it. Of course a few 16 year olds who want these cars to be $3,000 and don't care if they were taken care of will disagree with me.

That car is definitely overpriced. Most likely, the owner doesn't need to sell it soon, and is trying to get top dollar for it. No one is going to buy at that price, but maybe a high offer will come because of a high asking price.

Or .......... maybe the price is there to scare off young kids who just want to test drive it for fun

I don't think that price is too far out of line considering the condition and upgrades. I'd say it's worth a little over 20K if everything was showroom perfect.

It seems that it's more common for knuckleheads to go bargain-hunting for FD's and end up with a 12K car note and thousands needed for repairs.

I sort of agree. $25K is too much, but depending on what your looking for it might be worth $20k to someone.

The big problem I see is what people pay for fixers that are needing pretty much everything, motor, turbos, interior and paint. I've seen those type of cars go for $5-9K on eBay with a salvage title. Keeping those types of cars in mind you really would be better off starting with a clean, running car.
