Exclamation Has anyone had code #30 -- Split Air Bypass Solenoid open or short circuit?

30 - Long Long Long - Split Air Bypass Solenoid open or short circuit.

I did a search and it says it has to do with the Air Control Valve, but I have yet to see anyone post a way to remedy this code. Can anyone point me in the right way? Thanks.

Never had a problem with mine but there are 3 (I think) small solenoids that screw into the ACV which are controlled by the ecu. They are basically switches that control the different paths of air from the pump to the manifold and cat.

The ACV mounts to the inside of the LIM at the top towards the firewall.

You could easily swap those small solenoids with used ones without removing the ACV if you'd like. Just have to pull the UIM.

Is the ACV difficult to take off? I can't find anyone that sells just the solenoids -- they sell the entire assembly.

But you could still just remove the solenoids from a used one and swap them onto yours without having to remove the ACV on your car.

It's not that hard to get off though, just the lower nut can be problematic as mad_7tist explained.
