whats the shelf life of gas in a gas tank?

 

the tank was only filled to about 25%

But wouldn't it run badly at idle too??

 

Change your oil also after the ATF trick.'

Not that, that will change the problem your having, but you should.

 

This may sound stupid... but, i had someone work on my car and it took 2 and a half months. when i went to go get it it wouldnt start. so i had my buddy tow me back to my apartment. now, while i was driving i left it in 1st and he towed me along at a decent speed. soon as i got home damn thing started right up(not while towing). it just spit out stuff for a minute.


then later my friends 82 gxl se wouldnt start for the same reason... it had sat for a while (like a year). so we towed his around the block in gear and it started right up.


the question? is it bad to do this? the oil is still flowing as long as the motor turns, right?
