Wondering if anyone has bought one of those $50 or $70 rebuilt A/C compressors that show up on Ebay from time to time. I know the old adage 'you get what you pay for' but is that fair market value and are they reliable for that price?

 

Hmmmm.....considering that a new compressor is $415 - $460 and a rebuilt about $350, I just can't imagine a $70 compressor even being worth the time to put on....

 

That's the feeling I get....as things go with rebuilt components sometimes, a better option would be good used if the source is reliable
