Has any one fixed squealing brakes?

The problem aim having is with my brakes squealing pretty dam laud isn’t Cain of embarrassing to tell you the truth. It only tends to squeal when I slightly or even at the normal stopping pressure applied to the pedal but if pressed hard no squealing and I don’t mean slamming on the brakes ether. Let me know if any body has had a problem like this and fixed it without replacing the pads because these wore pretty expensive pads and they are new still.

Ok guys what I have are all around stock size Brembo slotted and drilled rotors with the stock calipers with all around Hawk brake pads.

Thanks

I'm assuming these are a semi or even full metallic pad, right? If you care to, what brand and all that? Some pads are just noisy *************, plain and simple. I have had pads on other cars that I just gave up on and changed out to a different compound, as that noise drives me friggin' nuts!

If you bevel the leading edge of the pad that will stop the problem in most cases.
I do them on a small belt sander .

The pads I have are the Hawk HP +.

This is the description on rx7store.net

High performance street material plus track worthy. Very high torque and rotor friendly for the serious street driver. Can also be used for the club events and driving schools. Our most popular autocross and high-performance street pad.

The stock shims should be on the back, and put some anti-squeal compound on the back of the pads. That can help quite a bit. Beveling the leading edge as suggested is also a good idea.

Go to the autozone and get their anti-squeal. It comes in a white spray can. Works like a charm.
