Thanks RotaryEvolution, so assuming the engine is running super rich (although I heard that sometimes lean conditions can make it glow too). As for the injector clips I am pretty sure that they are on correctly, I checked them 3 times, same for the injectors. Is it possible to interchange the coils connectors on the ECU side ? On the hot side I am sure they are correctly, the wires are so sturdy and tied together they really only go one way: leading to leading and trailing to trailing.

There was something else I noticed when we assembled everything, the coolant temp sensor plug on the waterpump housing was broken, on the harness side. So the plug goes on but it wont stay in place due to the broken clip. No idea if tmenzz fixed that already. I dont know exactly as what the ECU does when it sees this sensor not connected, good chances that it assumes a cold engine and dumps loads of fuel in there, that could explain the rich condition. The dash temp gauge has its own sensor afaik. (A pita of a sensor, ask me how I know )

It's fixed!

One of the tps wires at the ecu was barely connected so once that was seated right it ran normally.
