the car passed at the tail pipe but the smog tech saw this blue connecter and said he couldnt pass it untell i find out what it is and where id goes any help would be great. i did search but came up with squat oh and its a 93 all stock

 

blue connector goes to the EGR valve on the CALIFORNIA 1993 and ALL of the US spec 94's.

if you have a FEDERAL 1993, or a 1995 then that blue connector won't be connected to anything.

 

^^ yep egr valve !....... LOL he failed you and he doesn't know what it is LOL!

 

My car is 93 but when i car faxed it when i bought it was an east coast car so dose that constitute a federal car

 

Tell him it goes to extra headlights..

 

the only thing about me just making somthing up is he asked me to bring him somthing that says what its for and before someone says just go to an other shop this guy allready hooked me up with two smogs for free so im not going to just bail

 

The wiring Diagrams / Service Manuals used to be online in PDF, find one, and it should have the EGR diagrams, for Cali and Federal Cars...

 

the hood sticker, and ecu will tell you its a federal car too... they just used the same wiring harness for everything.

 

here is the ecu sticker , and im assuming the the n3a1 is what im looking for because its on the hood sticker too

 

yep, if you read the hood sticker, you'll see it says something about federal standards or 49 states or something, but not CA.
