Handling Quirks/Power Plant Frame

Almost wrecked today because of some very strange handling! I need to know if anyone's experienced anything similar or has any insight. The car spent two weeks on jack stands while I pulled the tranny and replaced the fifth gear synchro. I took it back down, and now the *** end seems too loose, as if I had excessive rear camber. It feels like it's on the edges. If I take a corner one direction it just seems a little floaty, but when I go through transitions (Back and forth direction changes) it's worse.

My thoughts so far are: I didn't exactly torque the PPF in the order the manual suggested or take the required measurement with the straight edge. Can this thing really get misaligned enough to cause handling problems?

Old springs (OE, 84k miles) didn't like sagging for two weeks. I have koni yellows on the full drop, I am going to take fender to ground measurements soon. I have stock size tires. Anyone have their measurements for this setup or think one or more springs could be unhappy? The rest of the supsension is stock. I've adjusted the damping just to double check, but it's more of a problem than that. Rear tires are almost new.

Actual alignment problem caused by sitting on the stands? I had it aligned correctly about 9 months ago when I had the koni's put on, and it was well done. Or can links actually loosen and come out of alignment?

? Other ideas?

Thanks for the info in advance guys~

Alex
