I have not driven the car real hard in turns but a few times as I am taking a hard sharp/low speed turn I feel a strange thing. It feel like my tire is rolling over on the rim, like its low in air. The tires are fine and have plenty of air. I have felt it more so in the right rear tire. I really find it hard to explain but I was wondering if theres something tell tail when the limited slip differential is skewed, or is this the limited slip grabbing as I am exiting the turn and powering up.

 

i personally think that if it were the diff it would feel bad in both tires though... it might be that your tire's side wall is "broken." i don't know how else to explain that other than sometimes, they just get weak and collapse especailly if it went flat or you nailed a curb.

fyi... when if first saw the title of your thread, i read it as "handling a funny feeling in the rear end" i thought that was pretty funny, then when i figured out what it REALLY said, i checked it out

 

I think you may have a point. I did have a nail in the tire and it ran low for a time. I will have to look close at the tire. It is a strange feeling almost like the tire is folding over. I am not going hard enough to loose traction and slide but Its a sharp sorta bump I feel.

 

it really sounds like a bad sidewall... unfortunately, there's no way to repair that. you should head to NTB or something and have them check it out. if its bad, you gotta get a new tire before you end up jacking up your rim.

Damn tires, I saw your thread and I thought "man I thought his problems were fixed by airpressure". I also was a little thrown by the funny feeling in the rearend line. Sorry, I can still be a little juvenile in my sense of humor.

 

Be very carefull !!! If you have damage in the sidewall it is very very dangerous...you must check and replace immediately if necessary !
