GZ LIM owners: Did you get new bolts?

I purchased a Ground Zero LIM from a vendor. He didn't send me the plugs for the additional injector holes, or anything else. Just got a box with the LIM. He didn't return calls or emails so I'm working around that...

I installed the new LIM, and realized it is thicker then the stock manifold. So much thicker in fact that I can't reuse the stock bolts. I'm going to see if I can buy some longer bolts now.

What I'm mainly curious about is if those of you who have purchased the GZ LIM received longer bolts along with the part? Did he neglect to send those too me, or has it been the experience of others that they could in fact reuse the stock bolts?

I bought mine used from a vendor who test fitted it and machined the top side so I didn't even receive the studs for uim fitment. You just need one 3" bolt, I reused all the others. http://www.xcessivemanufacturing.com...l?pid=2&step=2

Thanks for that link. The stock bolts might grab one or three threads, but they don't seem long enough to get a good hold.

i personally got mine from another member so i cant comment on what they are supposed to come with from the factory. BUT i can tell you i would not just slap it on without first getting it port matched AND at a minimum internally cleaned. i have so much casting sand in the runners still its not funny it would turn into that VW guy pooring sand through his running engine to "port" it. seriously stick your fingers in the ports up to around the inj bung area i have all kinds of sand in there still. and the ports are no where near close they need to be cleaned up bad. you spent the money do it right and get that stuff done before use.

I bought mine new from Xcessive, and received at least one new bolt with it (longer than stock). There may have been two, but I think it was one.

Have you tried calling them to ask if they will sell you the plugs separately?

I would just go to the hardware store...they are just standard bolts.

I picked mine up new from GZ and there is only one new bolt that comes with it. You just reuse the other stock bolts. The new bolt goes in the hole securing the LIM to the front iron. The new bolt that was supplied wasn't the nicest looking bolt (just plain bolt from the hardware store). If you would like to replace those bolts with nice polished bolts it really helps compliment the engine and you could also get slightly longer bolts as well.
