gutted CAT question
I came upon a
Bonez Hi-Flo cat-converter with its guts removed (its sitting in my garage)
and am wondering what the difference would be between this piece and lets say
rx7store.net midpipe
.net resonated midpipe
and the Petit's resonated/unresonated?
i was planning to get a resonated, and was wondering if the cat-shell would act like how the resonated rx7store.net does.
and of course the mild HP difference between the gutted hi-flo cat vs a real midpipe

why would someone want to gut out the Bonez high flow cat? A very nice piece i must say, well worth more than just a regular midpipe or even a resonated one.
Now that you have a gutted HFC, it is basically like a midpipe. I don't think it will really be much resonated, but i'm not too sure. It is still straight through, so the HP difference should be the same.

That's a shame as the RP cat is very high in quality. Somone probably clogged it or didn't know what they had.It will most likely sound raspy and will flow less than a decent midpipe. If you insist on running without a cat, I would go with a midpipe with a magnaflow muffler in the midsection.
